I can’t say enough good things about Courtney & James – they are exactly what you would want in a Vet. They’re empathetic, knowledgeable, kind and patient. My cat was rushed there on a Saturday and they took care of him right away. Unfortunately it was a very short battle with cancer. They answered every phone call, email, message etc. Their staff was phenomenal and showed Ollie so much love. They supported me and my family during one of the hardest experiences. Had my first visit to Mid Island Vet Practice today with my two cats, Luna & Miso, and I couldn’t be happier. The office was immaculately clean and smelled amazing—truly unlike any vet I’ve ever been to. The staff was so kind and gentle with my cats; you can tell they’re Fear Free Certified. I really appreciated that all vaccines and diagnostics were done right in the room with me. Pricing was very reasonable and I was even able to get a same-day appointment. Overall, a wonderful experience—we’ll definitely be returning!

Dr. DiGiuseppi and Dr. Massa are amazing. My rescue dog has tons of issues and both doctors are extremely comforting, caring, and knowledgeable. I just found this place near where I live after my regular vet’s appointment got canceled. The staff found an appointment time on the same day for my dog. The vet tech and the doctor were so friendly and professional. Now I don’t need to worry about my dog’s fleas and ticks, heartworm combo pill is going to be out of stock while I’m away from NYC for more than 2 weeks. What can I expect during my pet’s first visit?
During your first visit, our team will welcome you into a calm exam room where most care is provided. We’ll discuss your pet’s history, perform a gentle physical exam, and give you plenty of time to ask questions. We also offer designated entrances for anxious or reactive pets to help reduce stress.
How do I refill my pet’s medications?
Our in-house pharmacy makes medication refills easy and convenient. Simply call or email us, and we’ll prepare what you need so your pet’s care continues without delay. We also partner with Vetsource, our trusted online pharmacy, where established patients can order medications directly for home delivery.
What end-of-life care do you provide?
We offer compassionate hospice support, quality-of-life guidance, pain management, and peaceful euthanasia services in our clinic or in your home. Our team walks with families through every step with care and dignity.
Do you offer house call services?
We do for established patients. House calls are offered for wellness care, vaccines, and end-of-life support when availability allows, as same-day appointments may not always be possible due to our schedule. At-home euthanasia is also available for non-established clients to support pets who are more comfortable at home.
Do you offer diagnostic services at your hospital?
Yes. Our in-house laboratory, digital X-rays, and ultrasound allow us to quickly evaluate your pet’s health and provide fast answers. We also partner with board-certified radiologists for advanced imaging review when needed. In addition, we work closely with an external laboratory, giving us access to more advanced diagnostic testing when required.
