Evelise has loved animals for as long as she can remember. Even as a kid growing up in Staten Island, she knew she wanted to work closely with them, and that early passion for veterinary medicine has stayed with her ever since. Today she brings it to Mid Island Veterinary Practice as a Veterinary Assistant, while working toward her dream of becoming a Veterinarian.
She holds a Bachelor of Science and is an Approved Veterinary Assistant (AVA). What she loves most about the role is how hands-on and constantly educational it is—every day presents something new to learn, whether it’s patient care, assisting with procedures, or understanding medical cases. Just as meaningful to her is the chance to directly support both animals and their owners during vulnerable moments.
Evelise lives by a simple standard: always try to be the best she can be in whatever she does. At home, her family includes her mom, dad, two older brothers, a cane corso, and two guinea pigs. Her pets are family to her—more like best friends than anything else.
